Nutrien reported adjusted EPS of USD 2.02 for Q4 FY2022 (ended December 31, 2022), down from USD 2.47 per share in the same period last year, lagging consensus estimates of USD 2.57.
Revenue for the quarter increased by 4% YoY to USD 7.5 billion, slightly below analyst consensus, supported by higher realized fertilizer prices and record Nutrien Ag Solutions performance, despite a reduction in fertilizer sales volumes. Full-year revenue increased 37% YoY to USD 37.9 billion. Nutrien’s adjusted EBITDA and adjusted EPS guidance for FY 2023 stood at USD 8.4–10 billion and USD 8.45–10.65, respectively.
The gross profit margin for Q4 2022 was 38.6%, compared to 44.1% in Q4 2021 while the annual gross profit margin for FY2022 was 40.7%, up from 34% in FY2021.
