Elation Health, a TeleHealth technology service provider, has acquired healthcare billing and connectivity provider, Lightning MD, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition would support Elation’s goal of developing an all-inclusive primary care-related technology service for primary care providers. As a part of the acquisition, Elation Health will continue to support Lightning MD’s customers.

Elation’s all-inclusive beta solution will initially be available to existing, small practice customers in Summer 2023, followed by other providers in late 2023.

California-based Elation Health provides an online platform and an app that enable independent primary practices to offer virtual care services. The firm’s main offering is a collaborative electronic health record system that allows clinicians to engage with patients before their visits, provide both in-person and virtual consultations, streamline charting and administration, and share care plans after their consultations. The company has partnered with providers such as Crossover Health, Cityblock Health, and Firefly Health to provide its services. 

California-based Lightning MD is a billing and connectivity-related technology service enabler for independent healthcare providers. The company’s platform includes services such as billing rules and management, online payments, claims management, insights, and a user-friendly interface. The company was previously partnered with Elation Health to integrate its solution into Elation’s platform.
