Value-based healthcare provider Aledade has acquired Curia, an AI-enabled value-based care analytics platform, for an undisclosed amount. Following the acquisition, current Curia employees and leaders will join teams at Aledade. This marks Aledade’s second acquisition after buying Iris Healthcare, a provider of Advance Care Planning solutions, in January 2022.
The two companies have previously worked together in a pilot project, where Aledade used Curia’s AI-driven technology and team to provide comprehensive advance care planning (CACP) services. The pilot identified 8,000 patients with high mortality risk within two years. By acquiring Curia, Aledade will be able to use its AI-enabled value-based care analytics platform to improve its data-gathering capabilities, refine patient-care targeting, and enhance primary care workflow.
Aledade also announced that it has added more than 450 primary care practices to its nationwide network for 2023. Currently, the company collaborates with more than 1,500 independent primary care practices (up from more than 1,000 practices in 2022) across 45 states and the District of Columbia.
New York-based Curia helps healthcare providers identify gaps in care and predict adverse outcomes using AI. Combining this with business process implementation, the company helps embed the Curia technology within normal course-of-business operations.
