Finch, a developer of APIs for payroll, HRIS, and benefits products, has raised USD 40 million in a Series B funding round co-led by General Catalyst and Menlo Ventures, with participation from QED Investors, Altman Capital, and PruVen Capital.
The new funds will be used to expand Finch's coverage for more payroll and benefits systems, as well as new employment data verticals, and increase the company's engineering, product, and customer success teams. The company also aims to increase its workforce to more than 80 (from 57) in 2023.
Founded in 2020, Finch provides companies with APIs to develop HR dashboards and streamline various HR functions including employee onboarding, benefits management, and cost tracking. It also caters to use cases such as retirement benefits and insurance plan enrollment. Finch enables access to more than 200 HR systems for companies like Vanta, Lendio, Middesk, and OpenComp. Currently, it has more than 1.5 million employees connected on its platform.
