Metaverse gaming platform Worldwide Webb raises USD 10 million in Series A funding

Funding

  • Metaverse gaming platform Worldwide Webb raised USD 10 million in a Series A financing round led by Pantera Capital.

  • The funding is expected to be used for headcount expansion, improvements in gameplay, and the creation of new games.

  • UK-based Worldwide Webb is the developer of a browser-based game that allows players to build, create, and fight in a virtual world using their own NFTs. The game offers a social space for web3 avatars and users from across chains to connect together in player-vs-player (PvP), questing, raids, and participating in a thriving economy. The company is also rolling out on-chain in-game items, allowing players to create their own in-game businesses and items, as well as the launch of AI-powered UGC tools.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Worldwide Webb’s funding round follows that of other metaverse gaming platforms Phi , My NFT Wars , and Createra , signaling renewed investor interest in the segment. Funds raised by Phi and Createra were also expected to be used to further product development.
