Guava, a digital bank that serves Black American entrepreneurs and SMEs, raised USD 650,000 in an extension to its pre-seed funding round, led by Laidlaw Scholars Ventures. The company’s total funding following this round stands at USD 3.1 million.
It intends to use the fresh funds to expand its product offering and improve its community features by sharing insights and best practices with its customers.
Analyst QuickTake: Guava raised USD 2.4 million in pre-seed funding in July 2022, and had planned to use the proceeds for recruitment and to develop new credit products.
