Inarix raises EUR 3.1 million in seed funding

Funding

  • Inarix, an AI-powered crop analysis platform, has raised EUR 3.1 million (~USD 3.3 million) in a seed funding round with participation from venture funds Ankaa Ventures, Label Investment, Newfund, Alliance for Impact, Resilient, and business angel Francis Nappez (CEO of Hectar).

  • The company intends to use the funds to scale its technology platform to cover new crops, including corn, soybeans, and coffee, in the next six to 12 months, nearly doubling its crop analysis capabilities and further growing its team for expansion into new markets, including the US.

  • Launched in 2018, Inarix allows users to take pictures of their crops via smartphones and get real-time crop qualification results to make informed decisions. The company has a customer base that includes major players in the French cereal industry and has more than 400 users in France. Inarix can currently analyze and determine the quality of barley and soft wheat.
