Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), an edge-to-cloud platform-as-a-service company, has announced plans to acquire Israeli cloud network security provider Axis Security. Although the specifics were undisclosed, it was reported to be under USD 500 million, with the deal slated to close during Q2 2023, pending customary closing conditions.
Founded in 2019, Axis Security offers a cloud security platform that uses a zero-trust approach to manage access to resources in remote working infrastructure. The company has partnerships with Splunk, Okta, and Crowdstrike, while its clientele includes large tech giants such as Nvidia and Armis.
The acquisition is expected to allow HPE to expand its cloud security capabilities by offering secure access service edge (SASE) solutions through the combination of Axis platform technology with its Aruba network. Further, HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform will offer customers a monthly subscription model by integrating with Axis’ cloud native Security Services Edge (SSE) platform.
