Infinited Fiber Company, a circular fashion and textile technology startup, signed an engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) services contract with Rejlers Finland, a leading engineering consultancy firm, for a circular textile fiber factory in Kemi, Finland.
The new factory will be located at the site of a former paper mill in Kemi and will have an annual production capacity of 30,000 metric tons of Infinna (a premium cellulose fiber made from discarded textiles, used cardboard, or rice straw), which could make nearly 100 million sustainable T-shirts.
Rejlers is expected to complete the project within 22 months, with preparations starting in spring and the project scheduled to begin in autumn 2023. The Kemi factory intends to start commercial deliveries of Infinna in January 2026.
