Digital twin solutions provider Modelon announced that it has partnered with asset management specialist Iquant Consulting firm to provide a digital twin-focused solution aimed at foreseeing the maintenance needs of power plants and energy infrastructure.
Under the terms of the partnership, Iquant Consulting will undertake several trial projects for international energy firms using a combination of their internal predictive maintenance platform, Prodigio, and Modelon’s cloud-based system simulation platform, Modelon Impact. Users would be able to achieve higher efficiency and reduced maintenance costs by utilizing simulation and predictive maintenance technology to accurately anticipate the failures of energy system components, made possible by integrating physics-based virtual models from Modelon’s platform.
Modelon is a Sweden-based company focusing on providing solutions for systems modeling and simulations. The company’s primary platform, Modelon Impact, is focused on industrial processes and is able to accurately model the behavior of physical assets, including fluid behavior, heat transfer, and mechanical dynamics. These models can be used to create digital twins of industrial assets and proactively assess potential failures based on forecasted operating conditions. The company’s client base includes NASA, MAN Energy Solutions, and Heliogen.
