May Mobility, a developer of autonomous shuttle services, announced the launch of its third-generation autonomous driving system called “Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM) technology,” with improvements to speed, tele-assist (remote control) capabilities, pedestrian modeling, and detection accuracy.
Each vehicle equipped with the technology features five LiDARs, eight cameras, and five radar sensors to feed information to the electronic systems to perform operations.
The company currently retrofits the technology into hybrid Toyota Sienna minivans.
