Saudi Arabian BNPL platform Tamara, raised USD 150 million in debt financing from Goldman Sachs, bringing the firm's total funding to USD 366 million since its launch in 2020.
Funds are set to be utilized to finance the growing demand for the company’s BNPL products in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
Analyst QuickTake: Tamara’s funding round follows the company’s USD 100 million Series B funding in August 2022 . Further, Tamara’s competitor in the region, Tabby, also raised funding in January 2023 and August 2022 , signaling renewed investor interest in BNPL firms operating in the Gulf region.
