PureCycle Technologies partners with Formerra to distribute PureFive in the US

Partnerships

  • PureCycle Technologies, a producer of recycled polypropylene resin, has partnered with Formerra, a leading distributor of performance material solutions, to make Formerra the primary authorized US distributor of PureFive, PureCycle's ultra-pure recycled (UPR) polypropylene resin.

  • The company plans to distribute 300 million lbs of its UPR polypropylene resin, produced at its first purification line in Ironton and subsequent lines in Augusta through Formerra to reach new markets. PureCycle's resin is expected to be available to Formerra customers by Q4 2023.

  • Analyst QuickTake: PureCycle is working on commercializing its recycled polypropylene to a larger market. Prior to this distribution partnership, the company partnered with players like Nestlé (2019), Total (2020), Aptar (2021), Berry Global (2021), and Winpak (2021) to use its recycled polypropylene for consumer and industrial applications.
