Strados Labs to provide Clario with RESP Biosensor

Partnerships

  • Strados Labs, a Pennsylvania-based digital stethoscope manufacturer, partnered with healthcare research technology company Clario to offer its FDA-approved RESP Biosensor wearable device in clinical trials.

  • The RESP Biosensor consists of a lung sound monitor, or e-stethoscope, and connected platform, allowing physicians to identify breathing abnormalities. The non-invasive wearable device can record pulmonary sounds continuously for 24 hours and can store up to 1.5 weeks of recordings. Similar to a digital stethoscope, it can capture lung sounds, allowing the measurement of various respiratory events such as cough frequency, severity, and type, as well as other abnormal sounds such as wheezing, rhonchi, and crackles. Its proprietary software autonomously detects changes in lung sounds and respiratory patterns.
