Rokid announces the launch of its Rokid Max AR glasses

Product updates

  • Rokid announced the launch of its AR glasses, Rokid Max, set to retail at USD 439, with product shipping slated from end-April 2023 onwards.

  • The AR glasses offer a 50-degree field of view (FOV), a 1920x1080 pixels resolution with 600-nits peak brightness, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a reduction of forward light leakage by 90%. Further, the Rokid Max weighs 75 grams and comes with hand-tracking controls, an optional controller, and an HDMI adapter that can connect to various gaming consoles for streaming games.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Rokid’s Max AR glasses offer a 50% larger screen compared to its predecessor, equivalent to a 215-inch borderless screen. Further, the launch comes after its competitor, NReal, launched the NReal Air in September 2022 retailing at USD 379. For the USD 60 difference between the two products, the Max AR glasses offer a wider FOV and a ~7% larger borderless screen size compared to the NReal Air.
