dope.security, a secure web gateway (SWG) platform, has raised USD 16 million in a Series A funding round, bringing the total raised by the company to USD 20 million to date. This round was led by Google Ventures (GV) with participation from returning investors Boldstart Ventures and Preface.
The new funding is expected to be used for new hires, to expedite the adoption of dope’s SWG, and for performance, privacy, and reliability enhancements to the platform. The company is expected to release Dope API and a zero-trust layer for enterprises later in the year as a part of the aforementioned enhancements.
Following the investment, Sangeen Zeb, general partner at GV, will be joining dope.security’s board of directors.
