Wellvana Health raises USD 48 million to expand value-based care platform

Funding

  • Value-based healthcare provider Wellvana Health raised USD 84 million in a funding round led by Heritage Group and Valtruis, with participation from previous investors. This brings total funds raised to approximately USD 140 million.

  • The funds will be used to expand the company's presence in existing and new markets in the US.

  • Tennessee-based Wellvana Health serves as a value-based care model for independent primary care physicians, specialists, and health systems to transition from traditional fee-for-service payment models to risk-based contracting. It provides tools such as data analytics and population health technology. The company has a flexible model for a partnership that includes joint ventures, acquisitions, or affiliate models. The company currently serves healthcare providers in 22 states and manages lives across multiple insurance providers.
