Ilke Homes, a British developer of single-family modular houses, has appointed David Scott as its new chief operating officer (COO).
Before joining Ilke Homes, Scott was the COO at fashion marketplace site Thread which was bought by Marks & Spencer after its collapse last year. Previously, he has served Tesco as transformation director and operations director.
Scott will help the company as it strives to rank among the top 10 housebuilders in the UK, increasing its yearly completions from 1,000 to 4,000 units.
Analyst QuickTake: This news comes several months after Ilke Homes raised GBP 100 million ; reportedly the largest-ever raised by a prefab builder based in the UK. At that time, it was announced that the company was planning to increase its capacity to 4,000 homes a year.
