Cega Finance, a DeFi derivatives platform, raised USD 5 million in seed funding led by Dragonfly Capital, with participation from Pantera Capital and Robot Ventures. This round brings the company’s total funding to USD 9.3 million.
The company plans to use the funding to launch new products, develop new DeFi primitives, and hire a trading team.
Analyst QuickTake: Cega is the second DeFi derivatives platform to raise funding in the last three months, along with Rysk Finance , which raised USD 1.4 million in pre-seed funding in January. Cega aims to differentiate itself by offering “exotic” options which provide more advanced characteristics to basic put/call options.
