Axiom Space, a space infrastructure company, has signed a contract with Korean healthcare company Boryung to form a joint venture (JV) to conduct space-based projects. The agreement is expected to be finalized by May 2023.
The JV will mainly focus on projects in the low-Earth orbit (LEO) region, and plans to utilize Axiom’s space infrastructure and technology to explore various opportunities including care in space project (healthcare-related products for space) and utilization of LEO at the national level for research, development, and business applications.
Further, this JV will be the point of contact for all dealings with Korean firms and the government. It will also work toward conducting national space development missions and forming synergistic partnerships with other companies for space R&D.
