CISCO, a networking solutions provider, has announced its intent to acquire Israeli cloud network security company Lightspin in a deal estimated to be USD 200 million–250 million.
Lightspin offers an agentless platform for enterprises to protect cloud and container environments. The company uses a patented graph-based approach to map relationships and identify security risks which are then combined with third-party threat intelligence and predictive algorithms for remediation.
With this acquisition, CISCO plans on offering solutions and support for its customers for vulnerability remediation across cloud applications and environments by leveraging Lightspin team’s extensive technical expertise.
