Elevate Farms partners with Greengrower to commence farm operations in New Zealand

Partnerships

  • Elevate Farms, a Canadian vertical farming company specializing in producing leafy green vegetables on a large scale, along with its regional partner Greengrower, an Australasia-based vertical farming company, has commenced operations of Greengrower's first indoor farm in Hamilton, New Zealand, powered by Elevate Farms' patented technology. ‎

  • The Farm is claimed to be the first of its kind in Australasia, featuring a fully autonomous grow room that produces over 4,000 bags of leafy green vegetables daily for retail distribution. The farm's products are available at local grocery stores on the North Island, with plans to expand its production capacity.

  • Analyst QuickTake: This partnership appears to be a step toward the company’s efforts to grow commercial quantities of greens in locations where traditional agriculture isn’t feasible. According to Elevate, its technology can result in high yields of up to 125 lbs/sq ft while using 99% less water and land. Elevate Farms is also expanding its global operational footprint, as evidenced by its recent launch of its first wholly owned farm in the US, located in Orange, New Jersey
