Cybereason, a cybersecurity startup providing endpoint security and detection and response solutions, announced securing a USD 100 million investment led by SoftBank Corp.
The investment has been earmarked to facilitate the company’s global expansion efforts along with driving innovation for its extended detection and response (XDR), endpoint detection and response (EDR), and endpoint protection platform (EPP) solutions.
Further, the executive VP of SoftBank Corp, Eric Gan, will join Cybereason as its CEO (pending regulatory approvals and confirmation of the board), while the current CEO and co-founder, Lior Div, will take the role of advisor.
Gan joins Cybereason with a wealth of experience in business development and management. He was an analyst and managing director at Goldman Sachs and also co-founded the telecommunications company, eAccess.
