Sepura Home, a Canadian company that offers a food waste separation device, has raised USD 3.7 million in a seed funding round led by a leading kitchen water place brand, BLANCO.
The company intends to use the funds to expand into the North American market and to meet the growing consumer demand for its waste-separating device.
Founded in 2018, Sepura Homes provides a food waste separation device that is installed under the sink, replacing the traditional garbage disposal. Sepura collects solid food waste in a sealed container while letting liquids flow down the drain using its proprietary technology. Sepura's first batch of pre-orders is being delivered across North America and will be available for direct purchase by summer 2023.
