Huddle01, a decentralized real-time communication (dRTC) network, raised USD 2.8 million in a seed funding round led by Hivemind, with participation from angel investors, Superscrypt, M31 Capital, Protocol Labs, and others. The company’s total funds now stands at USD 4.5 million.
The company aims to utilize the fresh funds to expand its ecosystem and launch its node network. In addition, Huddle01 will provide grants to developers to build applications using its infrastructure.
Founded in 2020, Huddle01 is based in the US and India and uses blockchain technology to build a dRTC network, audio/video infrastructure (developer SDK), and a video meeting platform. The dRTC network is slated for launch in Q4 2023 and it will remove the need for centralized servers for real-time video communication.
The company claims that its video platform has recorded more than 1 million minutes of meetings and that over 100 projects have been built on top of its SDK.
