ABB to invest USD 170 million for electrifying and automating its businesses in the US

  • ABB, a provider of industrial robotics and automation solutions, has announced plans to invest around USD 170 million in its US manufacturing, innovation, and distribution operations to drive revenue growth, generate highly skilled jobs, and promote the transition to cleaner energy.

  • ABB has multiple current and planned projects in different locations in the US, including new manufacturing facilities, R&D labs, innovation centers, and expansions of its North American robotics headquarters and manufacturing facility.

  • ABB has spent USD 14 billion over the past decade to expand its manufacturing facilities in the US, employing more than 20,000 individuals in over 40 sites in the continental US. ABB's largest market is in the US, accounting for 24% of its yearly revenue.
