Expedia announced the addition of a beta version of a ChatGPT integration into its iOS mobile app.
Users can have an open-ended conversation with ChatGPT to get recommendations for a complete travel itinerary, including hotels, rentals, flights, and experiences, with results being sourced from Expedia Group’s travel data. The system saves properties suggested in the conversation to a “trip board” in the app, allowing users to review and book items in the travel itinerary directly through the app.
Expedia was one of the first companies to provide a plugin directly on ChatGPT alongside Booking.com’s sister companies Kayak and OpenTable.
