SentiAR, an MR visualization platform for medical procedures, raised USD 8.5 million in a Series B financing round led by cultivate (MD) Ventures, with participation from MedVenture Partners, TechWald Holding, and VCapital, among others.
Funding is to be utilized for the expansion of clinical deployments alongside the establishment of new partnerships.
SentiAR, founded by medical practitioners, is the creator of CommandEP, a patent-protected, intuitive gaze interface that integrates existing imaging systems to create an interactive, 360-degree view of a patient's anatomy during cardiac ablation procedures. The platform can be accessed on Microsoft’s HoloLens XR headset, presenting a 3D hologram of the patient's electro-anatomic data in real-time.
Analyst QuickTake: In April 2021 , SentiAR closed a Series A funding round to support the development of its CommandEP system. This system received FDA clearance in September 2020 , making it the first holographic guidance system to be used during an invasive cardiac procedure.
