SentiAR, an MR visualization platform for medical procedures, raises USD 8.5 million in Series B funding

Funding

  • SentiAR, an MR visualization platform for medical procedures, raised USD 8.5 million in a Series B financing round led by cultivate (MD) Ventures, with participation from MedVenture Partners, TechWald Holding, and VCapital, among others.

  • Funding is to be utilized for the expansion of clinical deployments alongside the establishment of new partnerships.

  • SentiAR, founded by medical practitioners, is the creator of CommandEP, a patent-protected, intuitive gaze interface that integrates existing imaging systems to create an interactive, 360-degree view of a patient's anatomy during cardiac ablation procedures. The platform can be accessed on Microsoft’s HoloLens XR headset, presenting a 3D hologram of the patient's electro-anatomic data in real-time.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In April 2021 , SentiAR closed a Series A funding round to support the development of its CommandEP system. This system received FDA clearance in September 2020 , making it the first holographic guidance system to be used during an invasive cardiac procedure.
