Vision Products to demo military AR headset at US Army Aviation 2023 Summit

Product updates

  • Vision Products, a company that specializes in head-mounted displays (HMDs) for military aviation, is set to showcase its SA-62/S HMD for Degraded Visual Environments (DVEs) at the 2023 Army Aviation Summit.

  • Key features of the SA-62/S include a 1920x1200 OLED microdisplay with a 62° diagonal field of view and an optional flip-up semi-transparent filter to help control light in bright ambient environments. The HMD can be mounted to a helmet and flipped up to a secure stowage position when not in use, similar to night vision goggles. Further, Vision Products will also showcase its A3RO-DS62/S HMD, designed for the Army to operate in DVEs.

  • Vision Products creates head and body-worn display solutions for commercial and government clients. The company designs and develops AR, VR, and MR systems, digital night vision products, and displays for medical applications.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In 2021 , Vision Products generated over USD 6 million in revenue from its HMDs. The demo of the company’s SA-62/S product followed the launch of its AR Pilot Vision HMD in February 2020 , designed for commercial aviation purposes.
