Zoom acquires Irish enterprise social network platform Workvivo

M&A

  • Zoom, a leading cloud-based platform that provides video, audio, and web conferencing solutions, has acquired Workvivo, an Irish enterprise social network platform designed to centralize internal communication. Although the financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, the acquisition is expected to be finalized by the end of May 2023. Following the completion, Workvivo's founders and team will join Zoom after the acquisition is finalized. Details regarding Workvivo’s future as a standalone product were undisclosed.

  • Workvivo is an Irish enterprise social network platform for internal communication backed by Zoom founder Eric Yuan and Tiger Global. It has 500,000+ users in 80+ countries, with the majority of its growth coming from the US. Its customers include Telus International, Kentech, A+E Networks, and Seneca Gaming Corp, and its deal sizes range from USD 50,000 to USD 1 million per annum.

  • The acquisition is expected to give Zoom access to enterprise clients, expand its product range, and support customers needing real-time and asynchronous communication tools. Zoom plans to integrate Workvivo's functionalities into its platform.
