May Mobility, a developer of autonomous shuttle services, has partnered with Moovit, an Israeli mobility service provider, to integrate the latter’s urban mobility app and on-demand reservation and routing software into May Mobility’s product offering.
Through the partnership, the company aims to provide riders with safe, accessible, and sustainable mobility options worldwide, leveraging Moovit's urban mobility app available in 3,500 cities across 112 countries.
The collaboration will offer cities a complete mobility package, allowing users to view options for taking May Mobility’s autonomous vehicles (AV) alongside other modes of public transit, optimizing AV routes with Moovit's on-demand software.
Analyst QuickTake: May Mobility is not the first AV company to partner with Moovit for similar purposes. In fact, peer startup Beep also has a May 2022 partnership with Moovit to allow the latter’s passengers to hail Beep’s autonomous shuttles in Lake Nona, Florida.
