Farm. One, an indoor vertical farming company, has secured long-term growth capital from DK-Bell Holding Company, a family investment office that focuses specifically on controlled environment agriculture (CEA).
With this funding, Farm. One has reopened its Neighborhood Farm in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, which was previously forced to close down in February 2022 due to a lack of growth capital.
The farm will have a 1,500 sq ft showroom and private event space called "The Pavilion," which can accommodate up to 70 guests. Additionally, the farm will launch a new beverage program called "Farm. One" which will feature smoothies, seltzers, juices, and non-alcoholic beverages made with botanical ingredients grown on the farm.
In February 2023, the farm completed its first weekly harvests of greens and salad mixes, which were then made available to local members. The farm has also resumed sales to high-end restaurants. Starting this month, the farm is expected to be open to the public and offer tasting tours, classes, and events.
