Axiom Space, a space infrastructure developer, has introduced The Axiom Space Access Program, which aims to allow nations to develop spaceflight programs while bypassing the need to develop their own infrastructure and other required capabilities.
The program will enable countries to perform research on the International Space Station (ISS) or Axiom’s future commercial space station, as well as fly astronauts. The services will be offered in four tiers with each ascending tier offering more capabilities as below:
Base tier: Provision of advice and insights along with priority access to upcoming missions
Second tier: R&D capabilities for countries
Third tier: Regular human space flight missions
Fourth tier: Co-develop segments of Axiom’s commercial space station
Azerbaijan, New Zealand, Uzbekistan, and Israel’s Rakia Mission are among the first participating countries in this program.
