Dutch VR haptic glove manufacturer SenseGlove raises EUR 3.25 million in Series A funding

Funding

  • Dutch VR haptic glove manufacturer SenseGlove raised EUR 3.25 million (USD 3.56 million) in a Series A financing round led by Eindhoven-based investment fund Lumaux.

  • Funding will be utilized for the development of its hand haptics technology to improve user immersion within VR and to open a North American office.

  • SenseGlove specializes in developing and producing wearable force and haptic feedback gloves for use in VR. The company’s latest product, the Nova glove, uses magnetic friction brakes to provide force feedback, simulating the sensation of size and rigidity.

  • Analyst QuickTake: This news follows SenseGlove’s previous funding round in November 2019 to accelerate product development. SenseGlove’s product offering is unique in terms of startups under our coverage, given the use of vibrotactile feedback and realistic button clicks, which makes it suitable for VR training applications in various fields such as telepresence, research, and military training. Further, the company started shipping its Nova glove globally in May 2022 at a cost of USD 5,000.
