The merger between the firms will help the entity offer a comprehensive XR therapeutic solution for physical and mental health issues, aiming to establish the company as a leading player in the VR healthcare industry. Eran Orr, the CEO of XRHealth, will remain as the CEO of the merged entity.
Amelia Virtual Care is the developer of Amelia VR, a platform that mental health professionals can use in their daily clinical practice. The platform offers over 140 virtual environments designed by clinicians, based on widely accepted psychological paradigms related to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Additionally, Amelia VR library allows therapists to easily access exposure tools and systematic desensitization techniques to help with their patient's psychoeducation sessions.
