Boston-based direct primary care provider for seniors, Gather Health, has raised USD 15 million in a Series A funding round led by Khosla Ventures, Maverick Ventures, and Commonwealth Care Alliance.
Gather Health will use the funds to offer more services and open locations in underserved communities. The company plans to launch at other locations and markets in 2024.
Gather Health uses a team-based primary care approach that supports the health and wellbeing of older adults on Medicare. Patients are able to access care virtually or in person at Gather practices or their homes. The team consists of a dedicated primary care provider, a social support guide from the neighborhood, and a medical technician partner that can provide care in the patient's home. The company also offers transportation to medical appointments, technology-enabled care, and a space for community events in a neighborhood office.
