Loop Industries, a company that recycles PET plastics and polyester fiber into recycled polyethylene terephthalate resin and polyester fiber, has partnered with Garnier, a leading mass-market beauty brand, to launch Garnier's first Micellar Cleansing Water All-In-1 bottle made from plastic waste that was previously considered unrecyclable or low-value plastic.
This packaging innovation will be available in the US and France, which are Garnier's largest market and home market, respectively, starting in April 2023. This innovation also aligns with Garnier's sustainability goals by promoting the product's infinitely recyclable potential and bringing awareness to PET plastic's circularity.
Analyst QuickTake: Garnier is Loop Industries’ latest partnership in the beauty industry. The company has previously partnered with beauty brands such as L'Oreal and L’occitane. Besides this, the company also works with food and beverage brands such as PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, and Danone.
