Audi has partnered with Magic Leap to develop the Audi Activesphere concept car, which is based on its new AR user interface, Audi Dimensions.
The AR interface is visible through the Magic Leap 2 AR headset and is individually configurable for both drivers and passengers. The Audi Activesphere concept car offers an MR-based interface that integrates digital content into the driver's real-world view, using hand and eye tracking to display information while replicating sensory touch control, allowing users to interact with the interface from any position. Further, its AR interface offers possible applications such as the display of 3D topography graphics and road safety information.
Analyst QuickTake : The partnership between Audi and Magic Leap is the second collaboration for the AR company in the automotive sector. In July 2022 , Magic Leap partnered with NavVis to deploy its spatial computing platform for automotive use cases. Apart from the automotive sector, Magic Leap has partnered with companies in other industries such as Lowe's in September 2022 , where the Magic Leap 2 AR headset was used to provide AR information on product location and historical order information.
