INSHUR, an on-demand auto insurance provider, raised USD 26 million in a venture funding round from JVP, Munich Re Ventures, Viola Fintech, and MTech Capital. The company’s total funding following this round stands at USD 49.6 million.
Along with the raise, INSHUR announced that it has acquired American Business Insurance Services (ABI), a commercial transportation insurance provider, for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition is part of the company’s growth strategy, as it aims to expand and scale its operations in the US. In 2023, INSHUR projects a growth of over 200%, supported by the continuous execution of its embedded partnerships.
Formed in 1983, ABI offers commercial transportation insurance, covering motor liability, general liability, industrial injuries, collision insurance, and captive solutions. It insures more than 50,000 vehicles and specializes in insuring taxis, limousines, ambulances, and other transportation network companies.
