Cybersecurity company Halcyon raised USD 50 million in a Series A funding round led by SYN Ventures, with participation from Dell Technologies Capital, Corner Capital, and other investors.
The firm intends to use the funds to develop and test its ransomware resilience platform, which Halcyon claims is the first cybersecurity solution to be designed specifically to combat ransomware.
Halcyon says its resilience platform leverages a multi-layered AI solution to detect and prevent ransomware attacks, disrupt in-progress attacks, and reverse any damage caused.
