Hydrosat, a geospatial data analytics provider, raised USD 20 million in grant and investment funding. This includes USD 5 million in government grants and USD 15 million in Series A funding led by Statkraft Ventures. This brings the company’s total funding to USD 35.6 million.
New investors Blue Bear Capital and Hartree Partners also participated, alongside existing investors OTB Ventures, Freeflow Ventures, Cultivation Capital, Techstars, Santa Barbara Venture Partners, Expon Capital, and Hemisphere Ventures.
The proceeds will support the development of the company’s constellation of satellites and analytics to measure water stress. Hydrosat plans to build two satellites, with launches expected in early 2024.
