Float Foods set to introduce Asia's first plant-based poached egg and egg yolk

Product updates

  • Singapore-based plant-based food startup Float Foods will launch two new plant-based alternatives to eggs called “OnlyEg Poached Eg” and “OnlyEg Eg Yolk.” The products are Asia's first commercially available plant-based poached egg and egg yolk for food service.

  • OnlyEg Poached Eg is set to make its commercial debut in Singapore at Little Farms Cafés from May 15, 2023, served as Avocado Smash Egs Benedict.

  • The new products are legume-based and claim to offer a nutritious protein and dietary fiber source. They are also cholesterol-free, with over 50% less saturated fats than a chicken egg.

  • The company reports that it is targeting large hotel chains, caterers, and airlines as an animal-free replacement for egg yolks and poached eggs.
