  • Enexor BioEnergy (Enexor), a Tennessee-based manufacturer of renewable energy from organic and plastic waste, has been awarded a demonstration grant from the Department of Defense’s Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP), a program that demonstrates and validates environmental and energy technologies and methodologies that address high-priority environmental requirements.

  • Enexor will use the funding to install its Bio-CHP renewable energy and carbon conversion system at a US Navy installation to convert landfill organic and plastic waste into grid-independent, renewable energy. The funding would also support Enexor’s ongoing demonstration and pilot efforts to redirect the Navy’s waste streams into high-value uses.

  • Founded in 2015, Enexor BioEnergy offers renewable energy and carbon conversion solutions using organic and plastic waste. The company’s patented bioenergy system generates continuous power and thermal energy for facilities and microgrids worldwide. The company's Bio-CHP systems are deployable in various locations and are designed to fit inside a 20-foot shipping container. Enexor operates and manufactures its systems at its headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee. Previously, the company was awarded an xTechSBIR grant from the US Army and a testing contract with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
