Sentera, a Minnesota-based provider of agriculture drones and sensors to capture deep analytics, has expanded its previously oversubscribed Series C funding round, led by Conti Ventures and S2G Ventures. The company raised USD 25 million in its previous Series C funding round. The total amount raised was not disclosed.
Following this round, Sentera projects that it has secured enough funds to meet its capital requirements for attaining profitability and positive cash flow.
Sentara also reported a 40% YoY growth, with key growth drivers in its innovative data capture technology, advanced machine learning, digital phenotyping, and localized data model segments.
Founded in 2014, Sentera leverages a comprehensive data capture, analytics, and modeling suite by combining aerial data collection with agronomic machine-learning engines to deliver plant-level measurements and insights. Insights range from plant-level tracking and modeling to regional estimates of yield, nutrient uptake, and other attributes of crop quality. As of date, the company serves customers in more than 45 countries.
