Sentera raises funds via extended Series C funding

Funding

  • Sentera, a Minnesota-based provider of agriculture drones and sensors to capture deep analytics, has expanded its previously oversubscribed Series C funding round, led by Conti Ventures and S2G Ventures. The company raised USD 25 million in its previous Series C funding round. The total amount raised was not disclosed.

  • Following this round, Sentera projects that it has secured enough funds to meet its capital requirements for attaining profitability and positive cash flow.

  • Sentara also reported a 40% YoY growth, with key growth drivers in its innovative data capture technology, advanced machine learning, digital phenotyping, and localized data model segments.

  • Founded in 2014, Sentera leverages a comprehensive data capture, analytics, and modeling suite by combining aerial data collection with agronomic machine-learning engines to deliver plant-level measurements and insights. Insights range from plant-level tracking and modeling to regional estimates of yield, nutrient uptake, and other attributes of crop quality. As of date, the company serves customers in more than 45 countries.
