Airspeed, an employee recognition platform, has raised USD 5 million in a seed funding round led by Greylock Partners and Venrock, with the participation of Salesforce Ventures, Next Play Ventures, and several CEOs and executives as angel investors. The company has also secured a USD 2.5 million debt line through Western Technology Investment.
The funds will be used to scale the platform, expand the team, and invest in research and development.
The company also launched a suite of Slack apps including Intros, Celebrations, Icebreakers, Shoutouts, and Maps, aiming to provide a complete culture starter kit to help teams connect. The company claims that the suite of apps will be available for free until the end of the early access period slated for the end of the year, after which a free forever tier will remain and pricing will be similar to that of a single-function Slack app.
Airspeed is a platform that offers a family of apps to connect and celebrate employees founded by Doug Camplejohn, who previously served as GM of Sales Cloud at Salesforce. The platform aims to provide solutions to improve workplace culture and connection.
