WayRay announced an integration of its Deep Reality AR display technology with the Tesla Model 3.
The company has been testing the car in Switzerland and noted that the integration would arrive in the US in the near future. The latest integration of WayRay’s True AR HUD can project virtual imagery over the car's surroundings at different depths, including navigational information, object detection, and improving driver safety. Additionally, passengers can also enjoy entertainment options, such as AR gaming that blends with the vehicle's surroundings.
Analyst QuickTake: The news follows the development of AirKnife in January 2022 , which directed airflow inside a car to facilitate cabin ventilation to mitigate the spread of airborne particles from Covid-19. Additionally, WayRay partnered with Karma Automotive in December 2021 to integrate its AR HUD technology into a fleet of Karma vehicles.
