Mondee announced the acquisitions of Mexican B2B travel company Consolid and Brazilian B2B luxury travel company Interep. The cost of the acquisitions remained undisclosed.
Mondee acquired Consolid and Interep to expand its presence in the Latin American travel market, with Consolid enabling Mondee to distribute its travel content to its network of 55,000 affiliates and 125 million closed group members. Additionally, Mondee plans to optimize expenses and add FinTech and ancillary solutions to Consolid. The acquisition of Interep will provide a complementary distribution network to the company’s previous acquisition of Orinter.
Analyst QuickTake: Mondee has been following a strategy of inorganic growth via M&As, having undertaken nine acquisitions in the past. Previous acquisitions of B2 B-focused companies include Orinter (February 2023) to expand its position in Latin American markets and Rocketrip (September 2020) to accelerate its growth in the corporate travel sector.
