XR work platform Campfire announces the launch of holographic collaboration system

Product updates

  • XR work platform Campfire announced the launch of its holographic collaboration system.

  • Campfire’s collaboration system consists of a multi-platform app compatible with PC, Mac, and iPad, along with a dedicated XR headset for PC. The system enables hybrid teams to communicate effectively by projecting a user’s hologram into the space and utilizes over 40 types of 3D models and scans alongside 2D collaboration tools. Pricing options include free plans for certain services, while an individual app-based system can cost up to USD 1,500. The enterprise version, which includes an XR headset, costs USD 15,000, annually.

  • Campfire offers a range of products for holographic collaboration, including the Campfire App, which serves as the platform for 3D collaboration, and the Campfire AR headset, which utilizes the iPhone as a controller when used in conjunction with the Campfire Pack. Additionally, Campfire offers the Campfire Starter Kit, which combines hardware and software to enable companies to quickly start with holographic collaboration. Notably, Campfire holds 70 patents related to its products and technologies.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Campfire sets itself apart from competitors with its wide 92° diagonal field of view (FOV) headset, surpassing the HoloLens 2 and Magic Leap 2, which have FOVs of 52° and 70° diagonal, respectively. While the Campfire PC-tethered headset weighs ~500 g, comparable to the HoloLens 2, it is almost twice as heavy as the Magic Leap 2 headset, which weighs ~250 g.
