Beyond Meat, a California-based developer of plant-based meats has expanded its UK portfolio with the launch of three plant-based frozen ready meals at Tesco stores.

The new "Beyond Meals" range consists of Spaghetti Bolognese, Keema Curry & Pilau Rice, and Chili with Coriander Rice. According to the company, all three items are ready for consumption in under ten minutes and contain at least 14 g of protein per serving.

Retailing at GBP 3 (~USD 3.7), Beyond Meals are priced identically to Tesco’s store-brand ready meal items.

Having recorded an 11.5% YoY decline in international retail revenue in Q1 2023, these product launches will have to perform well to affect Q2, and subsequently FY2023 earnings.
