Renewcell, a Swedish startup that recycles textile waste into circular material feedstock, has partnered with TextileGenesis, a traceability platform for the apparel industry, to achieve full pulp-to-retail traceability for Renewcell's CIRCULOSE recycled raw material throughout the entire textile supply chain.
TextileGenesis uses digital tokens to establish a secure chain of custody throughout the entire supply chain, from raw materials to retail. Their traceability system, known as "fiber-forwards," tracks real-time shipments, while their Fibercoins digital tokens validate the origin of materials and prevent the duplication of sustainable resources. The company's augmented intelligence engine ensures the accuracy of transactions between supply chain partners.
Analyst QuickTake: Renewcell has been making continuous efforts to market its product, Circulose, in the textile industry. This is one of its recent efforts to expand the presence of Circulose. The company previously collaborated with several companies in the textile and apparel sectors, such as China Textile Academy Green Fibre, HeiQ, Daiwabo, and the renowned luxury brand Ganni, to supply Circulose and support their sustainability initiatives.
